Red
Rock was formed by a group of ex oil & gas and power
industry executives with extensive background and experience
in developing, structuring, financing both domestic
and international power projects. Red Rock's business
experience allows the team to focus on realizing high
value generation opportunities. We seek out opportunities
that utilize technologies and fuels positioned to be
competitive in the deregulated marketplace. Our comprehensive,
disciplined approach to project development, acquisition,
ownership and management enables us to see the broad
perspective, as we pursue each detail.
David Smith |
David Smith is the Managing Director
at Red Rock Power Partners LLC and its key contact.
David was a Director at Occidental Petroleum Corporation's
power division. He was responsible for the development
and financing of US generating facilities in conjunction
with Occidental Oil and Gas Corp. and Occidental Chemical
Corp.
He was also responsible for developing
downstream markets for Occidental's natural gas discoveries
in South-East Asia through the development of gas to
power schemes and pipelines. He pursued and concluded
gas to power generation opportunities in Bangladesh,
India, Philippines and Vietnam. |
Parissa Chubak |
Parissa Chubak, a founding member of Red Rock Power Partners negotiates and structures all of Red Rock’s initiatives; her first success with the group is the Village of Freeport Unit 2; a 50 MW peaker on Long Island, New York that went into commercial operation in July 2004. Parissa brings with her 18 years of expertise in both the domestic and international banking industries. She is a seasoned project finance professional who has structured energy transactions in the oil and gas and power sectors in the US and the Middle East. She has negotiated and concluded the project financing for over 1200 MWs of domestic power generation facilities. |
